The Route

It’s the ‘Clipper Round the World Yacht Race’, title basically says it all really. It goes around the world ;-)

To be more specific the route, by the shortest distance which in sailing is not always possibly, is approximately 40,000 nautical miles (74,080 km). To put that into perspective, that’s 9 times from Sydney to Perth and back!

It will cross multiple oceans, round two of three Great Capes (more details), transit the Panama Canal, and cross the equator twice.

There are currently 15 stops scheduled, with some confirmed and some still to be announced. The route is (officially announced stops are in italics) :
